Pastor Sam Holt'Pastor Sam and Sophie took over the work here in Newcastle in December 2024. Sam grew up in Norwich, where his childhood was shaped by the challenges of a broken home and a turbulent family life. His mum’s journey to faith was nothing short of miraculous, having been delivered from a life of addiction, broken relationships, and hardship. Although she became a Christian when he was just three years old, the road to healing and peace for their family was a long and difficult one.
As a teenager, Sam wrestled with anger and frustration, often finding himself in trouble at school and struggling with the chaos at home. However, at the age of 15, after the sudden death of a close friend, he made a life-changing decision. He turned to Jesus, praying for forgiveness and asking for a transformation in his heart. From that moment on, Sam experienced a profound conversion and quickly became involved in discipleship at The Potter's House Church Norwich. Pastor Sam married his wife Sophie at the age of 21, and together, they have been serving God faithfully ever since. They are blessed with four young children. ** Before joining us, Pastor Sam spent six years pioneering our fellowship church in Portsmouth, UK, where his leadership left a lasting impact and a church that continues to thrive to this day.' |
